Summary:

A New Beginning: Final Cut is a GOG giveaway through November 2, 2026 at 14:00 UTC. Claiming includes marketing consent. This guide explains the GOG-library route, offline installer options and compatibility cautions.

A New Beginning: Final Cut is on giveaway at GOG. The full adventure can be added to your GOG library before November 2, 2026 at 14:00 UTC / 8 a.m. Central Standard Time. GOG's listing displays 16:00 EET, and its live countdown agrees with that cutoff. This is a keep-after-claiming offer, not a free weekend, demo or cloud subscription.

There is an important condition: the giveaway button says claiming the game means agreeing to marketing communications from GOG by email and through GOG and its trusted partners' services. Read that disclosure before deciding whether the free copy is worth it. GOG giveaway banner.

How to claim the right version

  1. Open the official A New Beginning: Final Cut page and choose Go to giveaway.
  2. Sign in to your own GOG account, review the marketing condition, then use Add to library if you accept it.
  3. Confirm the game appears in your library. Do not assume that visiting the page alone claimed it.

The storefront was checked with USD selected on October 30. Use the giveaway route rather than a normal paid checkout; if your account shows a charge or different eligibility, stop and check the live offer. No game was claimed for this report.

A story-led adventure with a compatibility check

Daedalic's single-player point-and-click game pairs a retired bioengineer with a visitor from the future in a climate-crisis story. Its illustrated presentation will be more relevant to readers seeking puzzles and dialogue than fast action. GOG's current rating is 3.6/5 from 155 reviews, checked October 30; that is a store-specific signal, not a WUPGames review.

GOG lists Windows and Mac OS X, DRM-free offline installers and optional GOG Galaxy. Because the listed operating-system requirements are old, check compatibility with your particular computer before downloading; do not treat an old Mac listing as a promise of current macOS support. This giveaway adds the GOG edition, not a Steam key.

Deadline reminder: Central time switches back before this offer ends, so November 2's cutoff is 8 a.m. CST, not CDT. Claim early rather than relying on the final minute. Availability and conditions may change.
