A different adventure from the sequel

Larian’s original game casts you as a Source Hunter in a fantasy investigation that grows into a threat to time itself. Party decisions, exploration and turn-based encounters are central to its appeal. Rather than simply following a combat corridor, you have room to experiment with how you approach the world and the people in it.

This is worth considering if deliberate battles and cooperative role-playing sound more appealing than a quick action fix. The low price should not be the only deciding factor: choose the game you actually want to spend time learning.

Reception and edition check

At verification, GOG displayed 4.3/5 from 521 user reviews. Its OpenCritic panel showed an 88 top-critic average and 92% of critics recommending it. Those are third-party and customer ratings, not a WupGames review.

The Enhanced Edition adds local split-screen co-op, controller support and full character voice acting. If you already own Original Sin, check your library before purchasing again. This sale is not a console entitlement or a bundle with Original Sin 2.
