Check membership, launcher and the December 9 deadline. ![Official Squirrel with a Gun key art shows a squirrel clinging to a firing pistol while suited agents run behind it beside a white fence.](https://wupgames.com/assets/uploads/20593ff6fc4679dd32518b0d23bc7e32.png) **Summary:** Squirrel with a Gun is available to claim through Amazon Luna with an eligible subscription, for the Windows Amazon Games app. Amazon lists December 9, 2026 as the claim deadline without a verified exact cutoff; its FAQ says claimed games remain playable after cancellation. This guide explains the requirements and distinguishes the offer from Steam keys and cloud access. **Squirrel with a Gun is now a claimable PC game through Amazon Luna, included with an eligible subscription.** Amazon's November 5 lineup announcement lists the Amazon Games app version, and the live offer was available when checked November 5, 2026. This is a downloadable game claim, not a Luna cloud-streaming session. ## The offer at a glance - **Game:** Squirrel with a Gun for Windows PC. - **Where it goes:** your Amazon Games library, played through the Amazon Games app. This offer does not supply a Steam key or a console copy. - **Cost:** no additional game charge for eligible members; the subscription itself is not free. - **Claim deadline:** Amazon displays December 9, 2026. An exact cutoff time and timezone were not verified, so do not assume midnight in your location. US Prime members can start at the [official Squirrel with a Gun offer](https://luna.amazon.com/claims/squirrel-with-a-gun-aga/dp/amzn1.pg.item.70eff815-88f4-47f9-83e0-8a8d2837c7ad?filter=Game&g=s&ingress=amzn&ref_=SM_SquirrelwithaGun_S01_FGWP_CRWN). The offer FAQ also lists Luna Premium eligibility and location-dependent Prime Video membership eligibility; check your account's offer before subscribing. ## You keep the claimed game after cancellation Amazon's offer FAQ says previously claimed Amazon Games app titles remain downloadable and playable after Prime or Luna Premium is canceled. An active eligible subscription is needed to claim new games. That makes this a subscription-gated game-to-keep benefit, rather than a free weekend or a rotating cloud-library entitlement. ## Why this particular squirrel might be worth a look The title is an unusually literal pitch. Dee Dee Creations' single-player game mixes a neighborhood sandbox, shooting and puzzle-platforming, with golden acorns as the prize. Weapon recoil is not just a combat effect: it helps propel the small protagonist through platforming challenges. The publisher also highlights toy-car escapades and encounters with the suited Agents pursuing the squirrel. Expect deliberate absurdity rather than a realistic wildlife simulation. The appeal is experimenting with a tiny character in oversized surroundings; if that premise already sounds exhausting, a membership benefit does not make it an essential download. The official site carries an ESRB Teen rating for violence. This is an offer guide based on the official descriptions, not our hands-on review. ## Check these details before claiming 1. Open the official offer and confirm it still shows Squirrel with a Gun and an available claim. 2. Sign in to the Amazon account with your eligible membership. Make sure it is the account whose game library you intend to use. 3. Follow Amazon's claim instructions, then use the Windows Amazon Games app to install. Do not look for this license in Steam simply because the game is also sold there. 4. If you would need a new subscription solely for this game, compare that recurring cost with buying the game outright. We have not treated a paid subscription as a universally free offer. Amazon's November lineup includes other games on different launchers. Those entries have their own claim pages and dates; this article covers the Squirrel with a Gun offer only. ## Sources and image credit - [Amazon Game Studios: November 2026 Luna announcement](https://www.amazongamestudios.com/en-us/news/articles/luna-november-2026), published November 5. - [Amazon Luna: live offer and membership, cancellation and Windows-app FAQs](https://luna.amazon.com/claims/squirrel-with-a-gun-aga/dp/amzn1.pg.item.70eff815-88f4-47f9-83e0-8a8d2837c7ad?filter=Game&g=s&ingress=amzn&ref_=SM_SquirrelwithaGun_S01_FGWP_CRWN), checked November 5. - [Official Squirrel with a Gun website](https://squirrelwithagun.com/): gameplay overview and rating. - [Maximum Entertainment's original PC-launch press release](https://maximument.com/mfn_news/maximum-entertainment-launches-highly-anticipated-shooter-squirrel-with-a-gun/): game context and downloadable landscape key art.
