**Summary:**

The US Steam base game is $11.99 instead of $39.99. Red Barrels lists November 2 as the sale’s end date, without an exact time or timezone.

**The Outlast Trials is $11.99 on the US Steam store, down from $39.99—a 70% discount.** This is a paid purchase of the PC base game, not a giveaway, subscription benefit or free weekend. [See the Steam offer](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1304930/The_Outlast_Trials/?cc=us&l=english).

## The deal at a glance

- **Price:** US$11.99 for the base game.
- **Platform:** Steam for Windows PC; this purchase does not supply a console copy.
- **Sale end:** November 2, 2026, according to [Red Barrels’ October 29 announcement](https://www.terminals.io/games/the-outlast-trials/news/5109). It does not specify an exact time or timezone; check the checkout price rather than assuming the offer lasts until midnight.
- **Edition check:** choose the base-game listing. The Reagent Starter Pack Edition and franchise bundle are separate purchases.

## Why it is worth a look

Steam’s English-language review summary showed **93% positive from 45,045 reviews** when checked. It is an audience signal, not a hands-on verdict.

The game supports solo play or online co-op with up to four players. Expect graphic violence, gore and other mature material; this is not a family-friendly bargain.

## Check your PC before buying

The Steam listing requires broadband internet and 40 GB of storage. It also discloses kernel-level Easy Anti-Cheat, with manual removal required after uninstalling the game. Check all requirements before buying.

## New on Switch 2 does not mean the same price

Red Barrels also announced a Nintendo Switch 2 release on October 29, with full crossplay and the Season 7.2 update included. Its announced digital price is **$39.99 USD**—not the $11.99 Steam deal. If portability is your priority, compare the correct platform listing rather than buying the cheaper PC version by mistake.
